Going to New Orleans - and Baton Rouge

We are off to New Orleans again this year for our 9th trip. Ther are 17 of us going form 3 different churches: First Parish Chelmsford, First Parish of Stow and Acton and First Parish Cohasset. This year we will be working in Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge was hit hard by flooding in August of 2016. In three days in August, Baton Rouge was hit with 20 inches of rain, three times the amount of rain received during Katrina. More than 70,000 homes were damaged or destroyed. In October, SBP opened their Baton Rouge office, and asked some of the New Orleans teams to consider working in Baton Rouge instead. Since it is easter week this year, and spring break at many colleges, there will still be plenty of groups working in New Orleans. We are looking forward to seeing more of Louisiana

We will be staying at the Church of Annunciation in the Broadmoor section of New Orleans. We stayed therefor the last 8 years and really enjoyed it. We will be working with SBP again this year in theie newly opened Baton Rouge office. We won't know what we are doing this year until we get there.
